Downloading e-way Bill Report from GSTZen

GSTZen provides you the option of downloading e-way bills for the past 6 Months, as opposed to the e-Way Bill Portal which allows the download of e-way Bills for 1 month at a time.

A waybill is a receipt or a document issued by a carrier giving details and instructions relating to the shipment of a consignment of goods and the details include name of consignor, consignee, the point of origin of the consignment, its destination, and route. Electronic Way Bill (E-Way Bill) is basically a compliance mechanism wherein by way of a digital interface the person causing the movement of goods uploads the relevant information prior to the commencement of movement of goods and generates e-way bill on the GST portal.

For downloading the report, follow the simple steps

Step 1: From the Quick Actions Menu, Click on download a Report and Select E-Way Bill Report.

 

Step 2: Log into the e-Way Bill Portal with API Credentials. If your turnover is above 20 Crores and you are enabled for e-invoicing, you can create the API credentials in the e-Invoice Portal and use the same credentials for fetching the e-Way Bills generated. For creating the API Credentials, refer to Part 2 of the document Creating e-Invoice API Login Details

If your turnover is below 20 Crores, register on the e-Way Bill Portal directly and enter the credentials. For creating the credentials, refer to the Enable API access in E-Way Bill portal article.

Step 3: Select the date range for downloading the e-Way Bills and Click on Download.

Step 4: Download the XLS with e-Way Bills. The E-Way Bills XLS contains 1 row per invoice i.e. only invoice level details are shown in the report. E-Way Bills Line Items XLS contains all the line item details of the e-way bills.

Why does my E-Way bill report contain data only for the last 6 months?

The NIC provides the data of last 6 months to its users. As opposed to this, the e-invoice provides the data only for 3 days to its users.
